Brand advocates, the Economics of Pizza, fill a need or create one and say thank you and you will never want for customers. I help companies deliver the greatest customer experience.
Companies perform their best when they have the best teams and the greatest employee engagement. I unite teams under a common goal and experience. I lead from the front and through service. I mentor others to reach beyond their own expectations.
Everything can be improved upon. I don't seek to reinvent the wheel I ask, "What comes after the wheel?". I saved one company over $1M annually simply by reading and interpreting a contract as it should have been.
Beyond project managment I dig into the how and why. How can this be accomplised faster and is what we are doing critical to success?
Everyting in life starts as a project, rasing a family, coding, taking a vacation. It only made sense to certify what I already knew instictivly. I earned my PMI PMP certification in 2011 and today I focus on agile project managment principles.
PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, React, API's, MongoDB, WAMP, LAMP, jQuery, Bootstrap, SQL. I learned how to code through need and desire to learn. Today I am studying the AWS cloud (where bricegibson.com resides on at EC2 instance).
Some of the best work I've completed is around KPI's. What are the most important measurements to success for your company? How about sales vs cost or WIP vs back orders? I've got you covered.
The meat of everything above comes down to data. Data tells a story of failure or success, it tells of where you have come from and where you are headed. Data is information and can become knowledge.
My first experience with computers was a Radio Shack TRS-80 and copying the Defender arcade game. In high school I hacked and crashed the classroom mainframe. But it wasn't until my job installing Cellular Emergency Call Boxes in Southern California that my wakening began. Faced with a challenge to install more call boxes than teams prior and a desire to automate the process of data entry I stumbled upon what drives and motivates me.
Microsoft Access 2.0 opened my eyes to the world of data and VBA. While learning I wrote an inventory controll application complete with barcoded inventory and a machine shop ERP system. This lead me to moving accross the country and ultimately being the IT Director of a small and growing company where I wrote a cash managment app and implemented Oracle Financials. Faced with a shrinking market and cost cutting I laid myself off to pursue new interests and challenges. The emergent pattern is, I have never taken the easy path and I always seek out to grow and improve.
The Customer Experience and Net Promoter Score changed the value I give customers both internal and external. Companies simply cannot exist without engaging the customer. Remember the days of full service gas stations, when they really were full service, or the Soda Jerk mixing your favorite drink? You go to the same bar or restaurant for the food and the service. Some of my most profound insights and character improvements have come from listening to my customers.
In another life maybe I will be some great author and writer. In this life though I am at my best when having to tell the story of the data. With volumes of data now available for everything you can imagine, it is possible to write a story around the bits of information gleemed from the data that surrounds us.
Some years ago I asked myself if I could do more for others and have found a passion and joy in working with children. Previously I have volunteered with the non-profit organization Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) . Today I spend much of my time helping to raise a grandson.
